SBTC Trail Volunteer Center

Members of the Santa Barbara Trails Council have joined the SBTC for a number of reasons but one theme that runs throughout all of us is a sense of appreciation for the fabulous network of trails that we have been blessed with in our local communities and a commitment to helping take care of them for others to enjoy. "Giving back as others have before us," is important to all of us.

One way you can share that commitment is by joining with us as a Trail Care Volunteer. Though our Volunteer Center, SBTC helps support trail projects throughout the year. Along with trail maintenance projects, SBTC also supports a number of other programs, including long range trail planning, development of educational and interpretive materials and advocacy for trails at community meetings and governmental hearings.

You can join with us in Giving Back in a number of ways:

  • Become an SBTC Member Today! Your $20 membership dues helps provides us with the funds to continue expanding our trail maintenance programs, support our advocacy efforts to add new trails and to develop our education programs.

  • Check the SBTC Calendar regularly and when you can, join us on the trail for a few hours of rewarding trail care efforts.

  • Sign up for our Volunteer Mail List or SBTC Newsletter so you'll receive email notification about upcoming projects, trail updates and other trail-related information.
